WEBSITE OF THE MONTH

This month's featured website is the DfT's THINK! site.

The main pages I'd like to highlight are the media centre and the key facts and research section.

The media centre provides some great free resources that can be integrated into a Powerpoint presentation to great effect.

It certainly provides an excellent opportunity to develop presentations, including short punchy videos which can be easily dropped into Powerpoint. This certainly presents a better alternative to the traditional approach, where the speaker virtually reads off screen.

The key facts and research section provides a stack of information about a wide range of target groups, in a way which is surprisingly readable. It covers research into everything from a group's reading and viewing habits to their behaviour as cyclist and pedestrians.

It's certainly worth reading what's there before embarking on any new research which may well cover exactly the same groups.

Keep letting me know about interesting road safety/Travelwise sites that we could feature in future months.
