New look for website
 The LARSOA road safety newsfeed and website has received a comprehensive revamp and was re-launched on Monday 23 April.
The revamp is evolutionary rather than revolutionary, as has been the case since the newsfeed was introduced in June 2007.
New features include:
- a much improved messageboard and forum in the members' section;
- enhanced password protection for the members' section;
- an upgraded careers section with the option for advertisers to include their branding and an attachment for further information;
- an upgraded search facility;
- the addition of LARSOA ‘position statements’ in the media centre;
- a more user friendly calendar;
- and a number of technical enhancements that will make the site quicker and easier to maintain on an ongoing basis.
The site receives around 625 visits from road safety professionals each week (see graph below).

By far the most popular and well-used element is the weekly news digest, but the careers section is also increasing in popularity (see graph below).
 David Frost, spokesman, says: “The new look website adds a new dimension to road safety. It is easy to navigate and contains a wealth of information, help and advice which is easily accessible to all. We hope people both nationally and internationally will benefit from the exchange of ideas on it.”
