Role play kits teach safety lessons

Bradford Council is providing role play kits to help 28 primary schools teach road safety.

Each kit contains a miniature zebra crossing, lollipop stick, school crossing patrol uniform, beacons and road signs to help youngsters practice crossing the road and understand the dangers from cars.

Councillor Michael Johnson, chairman of Bradford South Area Committee, said: "The kits are a great way of demonstrating to children the need to be careful when crossing the road.

"By teaching road safety lessons in a fun way, hopefully the children will remember them and put them into practice."
