Tigers star helps school get healthy start

Leicestershire's latest walking bus was launched recently by Leicester Tigers star Leon Lloyd.

Leon also cut the ribbon on Glenmere Primary School’s new gate, which links the school playground with Brocks Hill Country Park. Parklands Leisure Centre (adjacent to the park) has agreed to let parents use its car park at the beginning and end of school day.

Headteacher Jenny Barrett said: “The arrangement to use the new car park not only reduces congestion at the main school gate, it is safer for the children, and gives them healthy start to day.”
