County Durham Casualty Reduction Forum
County Durham Casualty Reduction Forum motorcycle training initiative 'BikeWise' offers riders in the area a full days training with a Police Class 1 rider.

The website also offers advice on clothing, maintaining your machine and where to ride or avoid in the county. BikeWise also deals with off road riding and training in addition to offering young riders the chance to experience life on two wheels.

Northamptonshire County Council
BikeKraft Rider Improvement Scheme was re-launched in 2008. The three stage initiative includes a Police assessment, observations with IAM and finally the advanced test. Northamptonshire Casualty Reduction Partnership has been funding the test fee for riders who complete the scheme.

BikeKraft Experience, a free rider skills and information day, is run twice a year at Silverstone Circuit and includes safe cornering session (on track), slow manoeuvring, drink drive and hazard awareness workshops. More information at www.bikekraft.co.uk.

16 motorcycle red routes have been identified in Northamptonshire and these will be subject to engineering, enforcement and targeted education initiatives.

A motorcycle forum has been re-launched and this brings together the police, county council, fire & rescue as well as local dealers and motorcycle groups to plan events and campaigns within the county.
