Young driver video produced in Bedfordshire

Bedfordshire’s road safety team has produced a casualty reduction video aimed at 17-25 year old drivers.

Another Fine Day tells the story of a young couple, Felicity and Matt, whose lives are destroyed by a speed related road crash. It is described as a ‘story of hopes and dreams, speed and risk-taking, life and death’.

The video is the product of co-operation between the emergency services, road safety officers, other agencies and Marshall's Motor Group. A copy of the video will be given to every young driver buying a car from Marshall’s in Bedfordshire.

The aim is to spread this scheme across the eastern region. It is also hoped that the video will start an educational initiative for upper schools early in 2004.
