Belt
up in the Back is back in Hampshire
Hampshire County Councils Road Safety Team has re-launched
its Belt up in the Back seat belt campaign.
The campaign aims to support the DfTs Think! road safety seat
belt campaign locally in Hampshire. This summer the campaign will
be concentrated throughout the Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Peters
Field and Winchester areas of the County using poster advertising
on bus stops. The campaign message will also appear on Ocean Radio
Group stations Power FM, Ocean FM and Capital Gold.
"Belt up in the Back is part of our programme on in car safety,
which is the biggest child casualty problem in the county,"
says Karen Lawson, Hampshires principal road
safety officer.
Two hard-hitting messages appear on the posters. One is aimed at
teenagers and approaches the subject by using fashion as a way of
conveying an important message. The second poster brings the message
home with a picture of a hearse and a thought provoking copy line
(see pic).
The posters will run from late July until early September and the
radio campaign will run throughout August.
