SRSC launches annual ‘Roadeo’

The Scottish Road Safety Campaign's (SRSC) annual ‘Urban Roadeo’ theatre tour for road users in the ‘mature’ category will launch next month. The play, for road users aged 55 years plus, provides 45 minutes of fun and laughter combined with road safety information.

The play pits retired driver Jack against his all knowing mother-in-law, Davina, in a battle of wits and general driving knowledge. His prize, if he wins, is a bottle of whisky and bragging rights - but is it worth the potential humiliation should he lose?

The three-month tour around Scotland takes place from late September to early December every year. Local road safety units organise suitable audiences for Urban Roadeo, which involves the play, a workshop and a free information booklet.
