‘Bright Sparks’ in Norfolk

If you see ‘dots’ in front of your eyes in Norfolk it will not be a trick of the light - but the successful ‘Bright Spark’ campaign currently being run by the County’s road safety team.

To coincide with the clocks going back the road safety unit distributed 50,000 bright spark fluorescent and reflective stickers to children across the County. The stickers are 50mm in diameter and feature the ‘hedgehog’ and 'Norfolk County Council – Bright Spark'.

"Last year we produced 30,000 stickers which went within days of the campaign being launched," explained Stuart Hallett, Norfolk’s county road safety officer. "The 50,000 we have produced this year are being distributed through the library service and the campaign is supported by paid-for radio advertising on two commercial stations."
