Two Bobs
show presses home safety message in Kingston
Children in schools across Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, enjoyed
a spectacular juggling show that helped them to learn life saving
road safety rules.
The Two Bobs appeared at thirty primary schools and
entertained children with their show of juggling, uni-cycling and
trickery. But as James Parker, the Councils
road safety officer explained, the fun show had an important underlying
message.

"Throughout
the show children were reminded of the important rule - stop, look
and listen before you cross the road," James said. "There
was an occasion in the show when the Two Bobs juggle skittled back
and forth to one another to represent traffic moving along their
pretend road and the children were made to appreciate the
need to stop, look and listen. The show also focused on the be
safe be seen message, which is very topical at this time of
year - and it all ended with a happy song about road safety that
the children enjoyed singing."
The Two Bobs visited schools throughout October and November as
part of the Councils road safety education programme.
