LAPC extends
invite to road safety professionals
Ape Theatre Company will be presenting excerpts from its forthcoming
drug/drive play, Pills, Thrills @ Automobiles, at the
London Accident Prevention Councils AGM on Wednesday 30 July.
An invitation to all London RSOs, mayors and members has already
been sent out but because of the great interest in this topic LAPC
is extending the invitation to road safety colleagues outside of
London.
Using a combination of film, animation and dialogue taken from transcripts
and witnesses statements of a true story, this latest production
- from the makers of Too Much Punch for Judy - tackles
the difficult issue of drugs and driving in the 1621 year
age group in a highly dramatic but sensitive way.
The theme of this years LAPC AGM is Impairment and Driving
and it will take the form of a mini conference, with morning presentations
from Dr Paul Jackson, consultant to DfT and Roger
Agombar, police liaison (DfT).
The fee for attending the whole event is £25, which will include
a buffet lunch. However, there is no charge for coming along in
the afternoon to see the Ape presentation.
For further details or to book a place please contact LAPC secretary,
Carol Walker cewalker@btinternet.com
or Chris King on 020 8891 4637.
