Orders invited
for Cheshires cycle safety magazine
The Zone, Cheshire Road Safety Unit's cycle safety magazine
for Year 7 pupils, is about to go to print again after a successful
run in April 2003 when in excess of 50,000 copies were sold. Other
road safety teams around the country are invited to purchase a quantity
for use in their work.
"The Zone is a colourful, lively magazine that provides information,
activities and advice on safer cycling for younger teenagers,"
says Cheshires Justine Hart. "It is especially
suited for inclusion within any induction materials issued by road/transport
safety teams or secondary schools."
Topics covered include bike maintenance, helmets and clothing, cycling
behaviour and planning safer routes. It is an ideal complement to
cycle training or Safer Routes to School projects, and for use as
transition material for Year 6/7 pupils, many of whom may be cycling
to school for the first time after the summer holidays.
Prices range from a unit cost of 32p for quantities up to 1000,
to 28p for quantities over 5000, exclusive of postage and packing.
An organisation's logo and contact details will be printed free
of charge in black and white for orders in excess of 500 copies.
Full colour livery incurs an additional flat rate charge of £250.00.
