It’s easier to get from 'a 2 b' in Suffolk

Anyone wanting to find out about community transport in Suffolk can now check out a special new website, www.a2binfo.net.

The a2b website was originally set up in Lincolnshire two years ago but other counties have since joined in the project. It now contains Suffolk information thanks to funding from Suffolk County Council and The Countryside Agency, and support from the Suffolk Rural Transport Partnership, which is based at Suffolk Acre.

The website provides information on community transport provision in the county for people who find it difficult to get about - particularly accessible services such as Dial-a-Ride and 'Wheels within Wheels'. There is also useful information on community car services and buses that can be used by community groups.

"It's good to see Suffolk signed up to this website and I'm sure it will be of use to many people in rural Suffolk," said Joan Girling, a member of the county council's executive committee. "There is a good range of community transport services in the county and this will help people find out about them."
