Confidence boost for drivers in Gwent

Drivers in Gwent who feel they are lacking in confidence behind the wheel are being offered a course that will help improve their skills.

‘Car Confidence’ is a short course comprising five, two-hour sessions on Monday evenings commencing 23 June. The course will cover a range of topics including the correct use of roundabouts and motorways, vehicle and personal security, parking, and hazard perception.

The course is organised jointly by the Gwent Group of Advanced Motorists and the Road Safety Section of Capita Gwent Consultancy.

"From a safety point of view simple mistakes can have serious consequences when on the road," said principal RSO, Penny Thorpe.

"This course aims to make delegates safer drivers and is ideal for people who need just a little help to enjoy their driving again."
