Bedfordshire launches new cycle video

The Bedfordshire road safety team has launched a new cycle video, ‘On yer bike’, to an audience of parents and pupils at one of the County’s High Schools.

The launch was hosted by John Terrett from BBC News 24 and Radio 2 and was supported by some of Britain’s top dance DJs, who also added their own anti drugs message.

The video features a number of local young people who played a key role in its production. "Considering that none of them had any previous acting experience they proved a formidable team," says Bedfordshire’s senior road safety officer, Bill Brady. "This video was made by young people for young people."

A preview copy of the video will be circulated to road safety officers across the UK and copies can be purchased for £7.95 plus VAT.

Bedfordshire’s road safety team hopes that the video will encourage the take-up of both cycling and cycling courses.
