Bedfordshire County Council
is launching a new cycle video on 10 September. The launch will be hosted by BBC’s Pam Rhodes and RoSPA will also be represented. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome to do so. Full details from Paul Penman, PenmanP@deed.bedfordshire.gov.uk.

RSOs at Peterborough City Council were on the lookout for children wearing their cycle helmets in early August - and presented those that were with a goody bag as a reward for taking road safety issues seriously. The pack featured several items including a bicycle bell and CycleSmart comic. "Our message to cyclists this summer is ‘Don't be Vain, Protect Your Brain’", said David Frost, Peterborough’s road safety team manager.

A motorcycle extravaganza is to be held in Reading on Sunday 6 October 2002 at the Madejeski Stadium, Junction 11, M4. 10am-4pm.

The event will include a riders’ obstacle course, a taster to riding, observed rides and the BSM'S ‘try bike’. The event is being co-ordinated by Chris Pickett, Reading’s road safety education officer, tel: 0118 939 0672.
