Child car restraints - can you help with case studies?

Fishburn Hedges, the DfT's public relations agency, is looking for examples or case studies of parents and children (or other adults that regularly look after children) who have been involved in a car accident or near miss and would be willing to talk about the safety benefits of car seats and booster cushions.

Fishburn Hedges would particularly like to hear from instances where:

• a child (preferably aged 6-10yrs) was involved in a major crash but remained unhurt because that child was seated in a correctly fitted car seat.

• a child (preferably aged 6-10 years) was hurt and sustained injuries despite wearing an adult seatbelt.

• a family was involved in a crash in which the parents were wearing seatbelts and unhurt but a child was severely injured as a result of not being restrained properly.

All calls are treated in the strictest confidence and no information is shared more widely without the full understanding and agreement of the individuals involved.

If you can help contact Kate Brader or Amy Gooden on 020 7839 4321.
