Childrens
Traffic Club right on cue
In the latest in a series of road safety educational initiatives
for children in Carmarthenshire, snooker stars Matthew Stevens
and Dominic Dale took time out from the World Championships
to back the launch of the Childrens Traffic Club in the county.
They
joined the dragon mascot Gari Gosafe to launch the
Club in Carmarthen and spoke to children about the importance of
road safety.
Hundreds of parents and children attended the event - and similar
ones that took place in Llanelli and Ammanford.
"The Childrens Traffic Club helps parents teach their
children how to stay safe," said road safety officer Keith
Griffiths "It aims to reduce the number of children
who get hurt on our roads every day. Most important of all it is
fun - the best way for any child to learn."
The picture shows the two snooker stars and Gari Gosafe at the launch.
