LARSOA website
gets thumbs up in online survey
Respondents have given the LARSOA website a big vote of confidence
in an online survey conducted on the website.
Although only 35 people completed the questionnaire, they were united
in their satisfaction with the services provided through the website.
97
per cent of respondents described the site as excellent
or good for usefulness, 94 per cent gave it the same
ratings for interest, 91 per cent rated it good or excellent
in terms of ease of use, and 86 per cent scored the same for reliability.
94 per cent rated the news service delivered via the website as
good or excellent and every respondent who receives the weekly
email reminder to visit the site gave it the highest mark. 88 per
cent of the sample say they visit the site at least once a week.
Respondents were asked if they would like the news service to increase
in frequency from weekly to daily but the response was inconclusive.
34 per cent were undecided, 32 per cent were in favour of moving
to daily updates and 34 per cent want to remain with a weekly news
service.
"We have decided to stay with weekly news updates for the time
being," says website editor Nick Rawlings. "Instead
of working to improve the news service further still we are going
to concentrate on developing the resources section and road safety
calendar. The survey showed that readers value these sections of
the site and we think we can improve them further still."
