Visitors will have the chance to obtain sound advice from a Class 1 advanced driver - passengers will be taken out in a police Land Rover, and given guidance on hazard awareness and safety positioning. An observed ride competition will also take place. The Royal Signals will also bring along junior bikes to teach youngsters the basics of mounting a display team. Other attractions will include a visit from a police helicopter, Cleveland Police Crash Investigation Unit and the Institute of Advanced Motorists. "The Ridewell event is going from strength to strength, attracting more visitors each year, and it is nice to be able to get a message across in a friendly way," says organiser PC Steve Darby. Ridewell will take place on Sunday 17 July at Preston Park, Eaglescliff, Stockton on Tees.
