THINK! team publishes new football sponsorship toolkit
The DfT has published a revised and expanded toolkit to help road safety teams get the best out of the THINK! sponsorship of the Coca Cola Championship and Leagues 1 and 2.
The Football League THINK! Sponsorship Toolkit contains case studies from the 2003/4 season, planning notes and guidelines for the THINK! football sponsorship deal for the current season.
"I am pleased that so much innovative use has been made by local authorities of the THINK! Road Safety campaign's sponsorship arrangement with The Football League," says Jo Rushton, the THINK! team's head of publicity. "With even more clubs across the country participating in the arrangement The Football League continues to be an excellent partner to help promote road safety."
The new toolkit includes background on sponsorship and its uses, detailed information on the rights that have been acquired, examples showing how RSOs can make use of these rights locally, plus feedback and best practice examples from local authorities involved in the sponsorship last season.
The toolkit can be found in the members' area of this website under DfT communications. The members' area is password protected. LARSOA members can obtain the password from the Association secretary Brian Hogarth, brian.hogarth@tiscali.co.uk.
