SRSC develops postcards to support young driver website

The Scottish Road Safety Campaign (SRSC) has developed a series of postcards to support its young driver website, www.getinlane.com.

The website contains a host of information likely to be useful to young drivers, including an interactive reaction test, a ‘hangover calculator’, and a ‘legal limit calculator’. For the last two, respondents are asked to submit a few personal details (weight, height, etc) and then to select from a range of drinks at the ‘bar’. The hangover calculator estimates when the respondent would be legally fit to drive the following morning, and the legal limit calculator indicates when the person would be likely to be over the drink-drive limit.

Although the site was built in Scotland it can be used equally well elsewhere in the UK. In addition, the postcard artwork can be provided to LARSOA members in Scotland to help promote the site to young drivers or upper secondary pupils.
