Welsh Assembly teams up with Tesco
The Welsh Assembly Government has teamed up with Tesco to encourage children to use alternative transport methods to the car on their journey to school.
As part of its Back to School campaign Tesco is featuring a colourful, bilingual message on its Bags for Life carrier bags to promote the Assembly's Safe Routes to School initiative. 1.5 million of the bags will be in circulation over the summer period.
Deputy minister for economic development and transport, Tamsin Dunwoody-Kneafsey AM joined children from nine schools in Gwynedd at the Tesco store in Porthmadog to launch the promotion.
