Drivesafe launches speed campaign

Drivesafe is asking employees across Greater Manchester to 'give yourself a brake' and 'give their boss a brake', in support of the region's latest anti speeding campaign.

Drivesafe is the commercial name for the Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership. The campaign, which is running throughout August, is targeting people who drive for work and those in charge of vehicle fleets.

Adverts will be placed on bus backs and radio, and information packs will be sent out to employers reminding them how they can play their part in keeping the roads and their staff safer.

Drivesafe's Claire Wightman says; 'The direct mail shot is highly targeted - every company who has an employee receive a Notice of Intended Prosecution throughout the campaign period is being sent one. By doing this we ensure that we are talking to companies with a history of speedy employees."
