Jackets help spread safety message

Flashing jackets showing a series of speeding, drink and drug driving images have been worn by young people mingling with drinkers in Bradford city centre on Friday evenings in the run up to the festive period.

The move is part of a Bradford council campaign aimed at young male drivers.

"This proved to be an effective way of reaching our target audience and certainly attracted attention," said Anne Hawkesworth , executive member for the environment.
