Please close this window to return to the LARSOA news pages Michelin man promotes cycling course An iconic Michelin man known as Bibendum is encouraging pupils from primary schools across Stoke-on-Trent to undertake Bike2Basics cycle safety training. Almost 80 schools have taken part in the course for 7-9 year old pupils, which is funded by the NRSI (Neighbourhood Road Safety Initiative). In addition to Bibendum, the major local employer Michelin (whose UK headquarters are in Stoke-on-Trent) is also providing high visibility bibs for young cyclists and instructors participating in the training.
