Mayor meets
calendar kids
Road safety-conscious youngsters were invited to the Mayor of
Kensington and Chelsea's parlour for a special ceremony for
winners of the Royal Boroughs road safety calendar competition.
"I am proud to say that the child casualty rate in the Royal
Borough is one of the lowest in London," said Mrs Frances
Taylor, chairman of the public transport and road safety
advisory group. "This year saw the highest number of schools
in the Royal Borough entering the competition and we are very grateful
for the work and dedication of the teachers and pupils, and for
their enthusiasm and support."
The calendars are being sold for £4 and can be purchased by
email at: road.safety@rbkc.gov.uk.
