Colourful cycle safety magazine available for RSOs

Cheshire Road Safety Unit's cycle safety magazine for Year 6/7 pupils is about to go to print - and RSOs are invited to purchase a quantity for their own use.

The Zone is a colourful, lively magazine that provides information, activities and advice on safer cycling for younger teenagers. Topics covered include bike maintenance, helmets and clothing, cycling behaviour and planning safer routes. The magazine received a commendation by the Prince Michael International Road safety Awards in 2004.

The Zone is an ideal resource to support Year 6 cycle training programmes, Safer Routes to School projects, after school projects (guides/scouts road safety badge etc) or as induction/transition material for children moving on to secondary school. Some authorities have also used The Zone as promotional material at seasonal events.

Prices range from 34p per copy for quantities up to 1000 to 30p for quantities over 5000, plus VAT and postage and packing. The deadline for orders is Friday 25 February.
