Hampshire launches drink drive taxi campaign
Hampshire's road safety team is running an eight-week campaign to encourage people who are going to drink to book a taxi home.
The message, You drink I'll drive, will be carried on 24 taxis operating in towns and cities across the county.
This campaign comes in the wake of concern about the high number of positive breath tests over the Christmas period.
Ernie Sage, Hampshire's road safety services manager, says: "With drink drive figures growing we need to take action now, and taxi advertising is a good way of reaching large amounts of people and reinforcing key road safety messages."
The campaign will appear on taxis up to 20 hours a day, seven days a week, and on seat panels within the taxis. It is designed to remind people that drink drive casualties don't just occur during the Christmas period.
