MCIA launches citizenship resource

A citizenship resource for key stage 4 students developed by the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA) will be launched at the Education Show in March 2006, at Birmingham NEC.

The resource, LINKS - Connecting Citizenship and Road User Education, connects road user education with the citizenship syllabus and shows how road use really is a life skill. It will be available for RSOs to examine and evaluate on the MCIA stand, E56 in Hall 12.

The MCI has also produced the Get the message - Act Your Age DVD, which is being distributed with LINKS. The 16-minute film takes a look at scooter riding through the eyes of a 16-year old and an older commuter. While amusing, the film remains focussed and points out serious safety messages.

For an invitation to attend the show, or further information about the new resource, contact Jenny Luckman, j.luckman@mcia.co.uk , or 02476 250806.
