Tiny Giants previews two new plays

Liverpool-based Tiny Giants Productions is inviting road safety professionals to take part in the evaluation and development of its two latest productions, New Wheels and Second Chance .

First commissioned by Wirral MBC, New Wheels features characters that distract from the tragedy that is about to unfold.

The play tells the story of two brothers, Neil and Mick, who are involved in a life shattering car crash. Mick, the driver, has to endure the emotional destruction of his family as a direct result of his own careless driving. The play asks young drivers to consider the consequences and think again before they choose to drive recklessly.

Initially commissioned by Lancashire County Council, Second Chance deals with the first days of secondary school. The interactive production takes pupils back to a year seven pupil's (Peter) first encounters with secondary school life - the highs, the lows, distractions and dangers.

As the story unfolds the audience discuss and affect the outcome of Peter's actions - in the knowledge that they will have a 'Second Chance'. Tragically for Peter, because of a momentary lapse in concentration while crossing the road from behind a bus, there is no Second Chance.

To see a performance during the forthcoming tour (17 February - 3 March), or for further information, contact Liam Scott or Alex Folwell on 0151 703 0000, or tiny2762@tinygiants.info.
