Brake unveils education pack

The road safety charity Brake has produced a new education pack for schools and colleges comprising a DVD, accompanying booklets and a Powerpoint presentation.

"We hope the Too Young To Die pack will make a big difference by teaching young people about the tragic consequences of dangerous driving and the principles of staying safe as both a driver and a passenger," says Jools Townsend, head of education at Brake.

Brake has also criticised the government for not taking more action on the subject. The charity is calling for the urgent introduction of graduated driver licensing, an increase in the length of the learning process, and for road safety education to be made a compulsory part of the National Curriculum.
