Clown has serious message

A clown and magician are being used to demonstrate to Bradford schoolchildren that road safety is no joking matter.

Former RSO Richard Rozel will be delivering a fun presentation to 35 primary schools across the district. The presentation uses props, magic tricks and fun stunts to teach children the importance of taking care when crossing roads, understanding traffic, using pedestrian crossings and traffic lights.

Bradford Council is using the presentation as part of its drive to push down the number of children killed and seriously injured on the roads.

Councillor Anne Hawkesworth said: "Children need to be taught these very serious messages in a fun and engaging way. By using humour and magic, hopefully these children will remember this presentation for a long time to come."
