Mobile phone ad booked for cinema run
The THINK! mobile phone 10 second cinema commercial will be on air from 7-13 January and 28 January - 3 February.
The ad shows a mobile phone with the consequences of driver distraction appearing on the phone in the form of a text message, and concludes with the simple message Switch off before you drive off.
A poster and mobile exhibition display stand that complement the cinema ad are also available for RSOs to order.
The 2005 mobile phone campaign will concentrate on cinema and radio advertising, encouraging drivers to get into the habit of switching off their mobiles before driving.
Apart from in a vehicle, one of the few places people normally switch off their mobile phone is in the cinema. The THINK! campaign wants to encourage the audience to repeat this behaviour in their vehicles - by explaining that by leaving their phone on they could be tempted to answer it, which could be dangerous or even fatal.
