RoSPA invites comment on new website

RoSPA has developed a new website for parents with children who are, or will soon be, learning to drive - and is seeking the views of road safety professionals before the site goes live in early February.

The website, which has been financially supported by the DfT, helps parents ensure that their son or daughter gains as much supervised driving experience as possible during the learning period - and that private practice supports professional lessons.

Before launching the site to the public, RoSPA is inviting road safety and driver training professionals to view and comment on it. The site can be accessed at www.helpingldrivers.com/sitetest.htm . When launched the URL will be www.helpingldrivers.com .

"The aim is to provide relevant information and practical advice and we have tried to keep the design simple so that it will be quick to use on small home PCs," says Kevin Clinton, RoSPA's road safety adviser.

Comments can be submitted to kclinton@rospa.com , or via the 'Contact Us' facility on the website, by Monday 30 January 2006.
