RoSPA and TTC Group join forces on drink/drug driving

RoSPA has appointed the TTC Group to provide a course to educate company drivers about the dangers of getting behind the wheel after drinking or taking drugs.

The course will include the consequences of driver impairment for managers, health and safety and human resource staff. The course is also relevant for employees who drive their own or company vehicles.

"We are delighted to have formed this new partnership with TTC as they are acknowledged leaders in educating people in the dangers of drink driving and other types of impairment," said Kelly Robertson , RoSPA's driver & fleet solutions sales & training manager.

"We hope that by working together we will help more businesses and organisations to understand this problem and make our roads safer."

The course includes information on alcohol and drugs, health, legal issues, prescribed and over the counter medicines, illicit drugs, how to implement a policy at work, impairment testing and drug recognition.

"It will be a fully interactive, hands on workshop for people to really get involved," said TTC Group director Graham Wynn . "There are many important issues today that managers and employers must be aware of in relation to staff driving."

For further information contact the TTC Group on (01952) 292246 or train@ttc-uk.com, or visit www.ttc-uk.com.
