Free drinks for Cheshire drivers

In support of the national drink drive campaign, Cheshire Road Safety Unit recently set up a mock bar at Cheshire motorway service areas for drivers to try a large range of non-alcoholic drinks. At the same time road safety staff were on hand to talk to drivers about drink driving limits and the range of soft drinks available.

The bar proved to be very popular and the Road Safety Unit hopes to repeat the initiative to coincide with the Christmas 2004 campaign.

The Unit’s Bob Hughes and Angela Hewitt are pictured manning the bar. Drinks were sponsored by Macro and Carlsberg Tetley Brewing.
