Haringey RSO receives safety award

Dilek Sabri has been awarded the prestigious London Accident Prevention Council's (LAPC) Laurie Bunn Road Safety Award for her outstanding contribution to road safety and casualty reduction in London.

The award was presented on 26 July at the St Bride Institute, London, during the LAPC's Annual General Meeting.

Dilek Sabri has been a RSO at the London Borough of Haringey for 13 years and was presented with the award for the outstanding work she has carried out with the large Turkish community in Haringey.

She has given up her own time to act as a local adviser and co-designer of two leaflets on the subjects of In Car Safety and Anti Drink Drive, which are now available London wide. Dilek is also currently helping a local Turkish driving instructor to produce a Turkish Highway Code.
