Knockhill to host safe drive fun day...

Young drivers are being encouraged to show off their customised cars at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife - and at the same time pick up information on safe driving.

Youngsters will be given the chance to test their skills on the track and go out with professional drivers who will assess their driving. There will also be a skidpan to help them to deal with the unexpected during the event on Monday 5 June.

About half of the 15 road deaths in Fife last year were young people. Andy Jones of the Fife Safety Camera Partnership said: "This event helps young drivers gain the skills they need to be safe drivers, protecting themselves and other road users."
