Please close this window to return to the LARSOA news pages Yeah but no but... With almost 60,000 10 and 11 year old pupils around the Midlands preparing to move from primary to secondary schools in September, the Mercia road safety officers' group has launched a campaign to help them arrive safely. Yeah but no but posters give examples of how not to travel, and encourage children to find the safest method for themselves. Good luck cards and wristbands will also be given to pupils before the end of term. Stan Milewski, chairman of the group said: "Every year the group looks at a different aspect of road safety for all age groups. This year, in conjunction with the government's teenage campaign, we decided to focus on the transitional period for children as they move to their new school."
