Cypriot delegation seeks hosting in UK

The government of Cyprus would like to send a small delegation on a short study visit to a local authority in Britain, in order to gather practical information, guidance and advice regarding best practice in road safety education.

"The Devon Road Safety Group successfully hosted a visit from Cyprus government officials several years ago," says Peter Gimber, road safety and travel awareness manager, Devon County Council. "However, I feel it would be more beneficial for the delegation to observe another authority in action on this occasion."

The proposed participants will be a traffic police officer, a primary school teacher and a secondary school teacher and the visit will be sponsored by the Cyprus Ministry of Education.
