Please close this window to return to the LARSOA news pages Prince Michael Award for 'twenty's plenty' North Lanarkshire Council's Twenty's Plenty campaign has been awarded the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award. The council says that the number of child pedestrian accidents has fallen by 70% in zoned areas set up outside 145 schools. Signs have also been introduced at more than 1000 residential sites. The campaign message has been delivered through direct mail, posters and advertising. A community pack enables residents to set up their own localised Twenty's Plenty campaign. "We are all very proud of what we have achieved through this popular and effective campaign," said Jim Watson , head of roads and transportation at North Lanarkshire Council.
