Campaign targets 60+ pedestrians

A new campaign was launched last week by the West of Scotland Road Safety Forum (WSRSF) to highlight the risks faced by the 60+ age group.

The campaign features a television advertisement featuring two women who spend their time shopping and socializing - until one has a serious road accident. It also includes a radio campaign, posters, leaflets and bus advertising.

Cllr Arthur Spurling, chairman of the WSRSF says: "At my age, we are one of the most vulnerable road user groups, and we all need to be aware of the risks when crossing the road."
