Valentine campaign - plans unveiled

The team behind the For my girlfriend™ young driver publicity initiative has unveiled plans for the February 2007 campaign.

For my girlfriend™ confronts young male drivers with the awful prospect of killing their girlfriend by crashing when driving too fast. Campaign activity peaks in the run up to Valentine's Day each year.

The 2007 campaign will once again feature a Valentine Card, which will be distributed via educational establishments. The card is backed by a poster suitable for use in pubs and clubs, as well as educational establishments. Other campaign resources include radio and TV commercials and a range of merchandise items suitable for young people.

In February 2006, more than 20 road safety teams and camera partnerships participated in the campaign. A number or participating authorities also stage young driver events in their area to back up the direct mail activity.

For further information about the campaign contact Jo Lazar on 01379 650112, or jolazar@stennik.com , or go to www.fmg.org.uk.
