Don't dream and drive, campaign says

Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service and the County Council's Road Safety Unit have developed an initiative to encourage local drivers to focus on the road.

A series of posters have appeared across Stratford to remind motorists to concentrate on driving as soon as they get into their car rather than dreaming about other things.

"We've all let our minds wander at some time while driving, but it is vital that we get into driving mode as soon as we sit in the driving seat," said Stan Milewski, senior road safety officer. "Even if travelling short distances, drivers still need to be aware - taking extra care at junctions, checking their blind spots for cyclists and motorcycles and keeping to speed limits."
