| Road safety event hailed a success
Surrey Police and Surrey Fire & Rescue have helped road safety officers stage a reconstruction of a road crash at Glebelands School in Cranleigh.
Pupils were assigned roles during the re-enactment, which included using real crashed vehicles and injury make-up. They also attended group sessions with St Johns Ambulance and police officers to hear about the dangers of drink and drug driving as well as speeding and using mobile phones.
"The reconstruction was an excellent way of putting pupils in a realistic environment and testing how they would react under pressure," said Zoe Gamblin, road safety officer and organiser. "The emergency services really engaged with the pupils."
