Beacons plan open day

Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Northamptonshire county councils have announced plans for an open day to explore casualty reduction activities that they have successfully deployed.

Topics for discussion will include: partnership approaches with other strategic agencies; the role of technology for driver awareness; the use of route studies to highlight engineering and publicity approaches; the use of casualty data; and child pedestrian training.

There will also be a presentation by the CragRats theatre group who will explain how their package approach to theatre in education - which includes self-booking, theatre and evaluation - can benefit a local authority.

The event will be held at the Barnsdale Hall Hotel, Rutland Water on 20 October. The cost of attending is £25.00, which includes lunch, and promotional materials. For further information or to book contact Simon Mills on 01603 654305.
