Texaco produces booklet for 1.5m children

Texaco is handing out thousands of free books containing road safety lessons for children aged between six and 10 years.

The five book series features Hector, a boy with a vivid imagination, who discovers road safety messages including the importance of using a seatbelt and crossing the road safely.

More than 1.7m copies will be available at Texaco garages from 30 October. The promotion also includes a reflective sticker that children can attach to their school bag. The campaign will be supported by point-of-sale materials and a website, which will be launched to coincide with the arrival of the books.
