Bedfordshire County Council's road safety team has joined forces with Bedfordshire Police to give NUTS and BOLTS advice to errant drivers and riders.
NUTS (Not Up To Scratch) and BOLTS (Better Observation Leads to Safety) launched recently on Anglia TV, when the news presenter was given a brief driving assessment to highlight how drivers usually have faults that they are not aware of.
The scheme involves issuing a NUTS form to road users who are seen driving or riding inappropriately. The errant driver or rider is offered a free driving/riding/cycling assessment by the road safety team, along with a road safety pack.
