JRSOs prepare for the new term
South Lanarkshire's JRSOs gathered at the council's Hamilton headquarters recently for an information day to help them plan their activities during the new school year.
There are now 166 Junior Road Safety Officers across the region, and the event gave pupils the chance to meet their counterparts from other schools.
Chair of the South Lanarkshire Road Safety Forum, councillor Billy McCaig said: "Every year we are getting more schools taking part and it was fantastic to see this year's JRSOs gathered together for the information day.
"There is so much enthusiasm for the subject and they come up with some very clever and imaginative ways of encouraging their fellow pupils to engage with the important issues of road safety."
